Office

The Student Union Office is located on the Microkatu campus of Savonia University of Applied Sciences, in Kuopio’s Savilahti area. The office is the home base of the student union, where you can reach both the student union board members and staff. Next to the office is a shared organizational space, intended for student organization activities and often used as an office space for student associations during their office hours.

Personnel

The student union office has three employees: the Executive Director, the Member & Organizational Services Planner, and the Sports Planner. The Executive Director’s duties include representing students in university working groups, overseeing the student union’s administration and finances, and serving as the supervisor for the staff. The Member & Organizational Services Planner is responsible for organizing student events and overseeing matters related to tutoring. The Sports Planner is responsible for maintaining and developing the SYKETTÄ sports services in cooperation with the Sports Planner from the University of Eastern Finland Student Union.

Additionally, the student union’s cafes, cafeSAVOTTA and Bar & cafeSAVOTTA, each have their own staff.
