As student union representatives, you can find us in the most unexpected places from time to time. Sometimes one of us is leading a cruise trip we’ve organized, speaking about student activities to the rector’s Russian guests, or even clearing ice for curling rinks on the ice of Savilahden. Yes, clearing curling rinks on the lake ice! The roles are as diverse for the office staff as they are for the board members responsible for advocacy.

And that’s exactly how it should be! We work with the best interests of Savonia students in mind, constantly trying to come up with new ideas. We don’t shy away from even the most outlandish-sounding ideas and stunts. We get excited easily, but once we’re excited, we make things happen. Often, we do so in a student-friendly manner, at very affordable prices or even completely free for members.

So, it’s all about authentic, cheerful student activities and a bit of fun to balance the daily grind of studying. That’s what the student union is all about.
