Did you know that as a pathway student you can also be a member of the Student Union?
Pathway students can use the green Slice mobile student card. This card does not entitle the holder to statutory student benefits (such as the VR student discount or Kela meal subsidy), but Student Union membership gives access to the other student benefits offered by SAVOTTA.
When a pathway student transitions to a degree programme, the Slice mobile student card can be upgraded from green to blue by resetting the card credentials. Before performing the reset, the student must grant a new data transfer permission in the Savonia Account service using their degree student credentials.

At the Microkatu campus, you can enjoy discounts at the Student Union cafés. Some of the best offers include 10-visit coffee cards starting from €7.50 per card and Finnkino movie tickets for €10 per ticket.
In addition, you can collect a free student planner (value €14.95) and a promotional form for a 2-month digital subscription to Savon Sanomat (value €56.20) from the service points on all campuses.
As a member, you will have access to the green Slice mobile student card. This card can be used to verify your student status, for example at swimming pools and sporting events.
The Slice mobile student card also gives access to thousands of local and nationwide student discounts. Some offers provide significant savings, such as two meals for the price of one.
